Using these photographs
Every photograph on this site is © Aurelia Dougan. All rights reserved. Here is what that means in practice.
If they are your photographs
The photographs in your private gallery come with a personal-use license for you and the people in them:
- print them, frame them, make albums and cards;
- share them with family and friends, and post them on your own social accounts;
- crop them to fit a frame or a phone screen.
Please don't sell them, use them to advertise a business, enter them in contests, or add heavy filters. A credit is always appreciated, never required.
Licensing a photograph
For a publication, a business, a brand or anything else commercial, write to me with the photograph (its plate page link is perfect), where and how it would appear, and for how long. Every license is written down and specific to that use.
A photograph of a person is licensed only for uses their signed release covers. Licensing an image never includes the right to use someone's likeness beyond that.
The people in these photographs
Client photographs are private by default. A photograph of a person appears here only with that person's signed release (a parent or guardian's, for anyone under 18), and only after I chose that one photograph myself.
If you are in a photograph on this site and would like it taken down, write to me and it comes down, no questions asked. If you find one of my photographs used somewhere without permission, I'd be grateful to hear about it too.
