Before your session
How to prepare
Less than you think. Wear something you like, bring someone who makes you laugh, and leave the framing to me.
What to wear
Wear solid colors with some texture, like linen, knit or denim, so you read as a clear shape in the frame; logos and busy prints pull the eye off your face. Cream, white, olive, rust and deep blue sit well in color and in black and white, while neon fights it. A layer that moves when you walk, like an open shirt or a long skirt, gives the picture a line to follow.
- Bring shoes you don't mind getting sandy, or plan to go barefoot.
- For couples and families: pick two or three colors that sit well together rather than matching outfits.
- Seniors: bring a second look if you like. We can change once during the hour.
- Bring a hair tie and a small towel for the sand.
If we need to reschedule
If there's lightning, high wind or anything else unsafe on the day, we reschedule for free. I'll message you the day before if it looks doubtful.
I send the meeting spot and time to you privately once your session is confirmed. I never post where or when I'll be shooting.
During the session
About an hour outside on Florida's Atlantic coast. No posing marathons: we walk, talk, look at the water, and I tell you what to do when it matters. You don't need to know what to do in front of a camera. That's my job.
A first meeting with a new adult client is always somewhere public. If the person being photographed is under 18, a parent or guardian is part of the booking.
Delivery
About two weeks after your session, you get a text from me with a link to your private gallery, and a typed code as a backup. It opens on your phone and your photographs develop on screen.
Tap to mark your favorites, send me your picks, and save photos straight to your phone. Every session includes a private gallery you can view for as long as I'm in business. Downloads are open for one year, and I can reopen them any time.
Your photos are private to you unless you tell me otherwise.
